Biography
Fairfield is an indierock / rock’n’roll band based in Lund in the south of Sweden. Their well acclaimed live-performances blaze with energy, pleasure and an intimate contact with the audience. The band has in addition to Sweden toured England, Denmark and Finland. Critics as well as audiences have compared their music with names like eg. Foo Fighters, Jet, The Who and The Rolling Stones. These guys can definitely set a place in motion! In the beginning of 2006 Fairfield made their third EP ‘The Cause of Hatred and Love and Everything in Between’ which includes the radio friendly “23:18 (Time to Leave)” and “Police”. “Police” also made an apparance on the monthly released CD from the biggest music magazine in Sweden, GROOVE. Later the same year “23:18 (Time to Leave)” was released in the States on a compilation CD for new emerging acts worldwide. In the summer of 2007 the band recorded a new single “Gunmakers Lane / Kill Your Darlings” in Svenska Grammofon Studion in Gothenburg. It was released in connection with the mini tour in Finland in September the same year, where Fairfield supported the Finnish band “Underwater Sleeping Society” for a five days tour across the country. 2008 started off with Fairfield taking a break from doing loads of gigs. Instead they focused on writing, demoing and rehearsing new songs, which later on will result in Fairfield’s first full-lenght album. With an eager to perform, the band is now heading for some summer festivals, a tour in France and a Swedish tour together with “Underwater Sleeping Society”.
